It was my joy to serve as a pastor for 39 years in a transitional setting. I’ve helped families bury children, held addicts while they detox, talked various people into handing over the gun in their hand during a time of desperation, helped parents through a dark night waiting to hear from their child who has disappeared, welcomed runaways into my home in the middle of the night. I’ve seen people delivered from addiction, couples realize their marriage was worth fighting for choosing to make it great, kids walk into their God given calling for life and parents stand back on their feet after grieving from a devastating loss. There is no other way to explain it but that God was at work and allowed me to help love people into wholeness. I am excited to continue my ministry with NorthPoint Christian Ministries.

I hold a Bachelors of Arts from Chapman University, Masters of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary and am finishing my PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling with Cornerstone University. I also maintain my ordination through International Fellowship of Ministries. It has been my pleasure to serve the Church in 5 different denominations, helping people learn how to walk out their faith in God in spite of their circumstances. In addition to 39 years of pastoral counseling I am now a Temperament Therapist. I have the joy of offering Clinical Counseling using the amazing tools of Temperament Therapy, Biblical Counseling and Discipleship helping people work through their struggles, develop coping skills and use their God given gifts to meet their needs and the needs of those around them.

Ellen and I have been married since 1991 and have raised three godly men in our home. All three are soccer fanatics so I ended up coaching the “Beautiful game” for 18 years and have been refereeing for 7. I enjoy the outdoors playing Ultimate Frisbee, Kayaking, fishing and hunting, hiking and traveling.

I have also had Type 1 Diabetes since 1976 but it has not kept me from living life to its fullest. I am excited to help people take the precepts of the Bible and learn how to walk them out with joy, integrity and who God created them to be.
